In 2017 Phil Turner, Director of 24hr Solutions, had a vision. A vision to both market 24hr Solutions and push on with brand awareness as well as giving back.
After a year in the planning Team 247 was born. A race team like no other. Put together with staff from the global brand, 24hr Solutions, the race team would enter the 2018 UK National Legends Championship in the UK and race against some of the worlds finest Legends race car drivers. Now in the second year of racing, the Team 247 car and its team are still actively fundraising in support of Help for Heroes as well as bringing the 24hr Solutions brand to homes around the world.
About Phil The Race Driver
2017 brought the start of Phil carrier in motorsport as he took his race licence at Brands Hatch September 2017 after a quick 1 hour lesson.
He then went back to Brands Hatch in November 2017 to have a days training with ex pro race driver Colin Tester who gave him some ‘one to one’ training in the art of race driving in his touring car. It wasn’t till 2018 when Phil first took a legends car on track to find out just how hard they are to control and in March 2018 Phils first race at Oulton Park didn’t exactly go to plan when the 1st race, 1st corner Phil was caught up in a major accident which caused retirement from Round 1.
Now in the second year of motor racing, Phil is still very much a ‘newbie’. Having said that, he continues to make leaps and bounds in personal progression through the series, and this season can be found desperately fighting out in the races with Bill Reid.
24hr Solutions and Phil the Director
24hr Solutions are the heat of the team. The company fully funds the team, the transport, car and personnel. With the heart of the team being raising money and support for Help for Heroes, this means that with the great support from the team sponsors, 24hr Solutions are able to donate every year, a considerable sum for the charity.
‘As a company owner, it’s an honour to be able to be supporting such a great charity with such an important aim and objective. Today, seven people will be medically discharged from the Armed Forces and their lives will change forever. In an instant, these highly-trained individuals will lose the camaraderie, purpose and career which has been their life.
Help for Heroes, through its donations, fundraising and support, provide recovery and support for the Armed Forces community whose lives are affected by their service, no matter when they served. Their aim is to empower Veterans and Service Personnel to look beyond illness and injury. With every penny raised, facility run and activity offered to help Veterans and Service Personnel reach their potential, regain their purpose and have a positive impact on society. To be involved in this, however large or small is a massive achievement and something we are very proud of’.
